The Princess Theater, which later became the Sieren's Palace store, was in Kirksville, Missouri. This collection includes artifacts from the theater and a guest book from Sieren's Palace.

Dr. Towne retired from the Northeast Missouri State University (NMSU) faculty in 1988 as Professor of History and Dean of Graduate Studies. Her papers include family records dating from as early as the 1820s, her own personal and professional papers and correspondence, as well as some of the research for her dissertation on Congressman William Joel Stone, and other books and articles.

This collection contains a copy of a newspaper article from The Index, and 226 glass slides to be used with a lantern in order to project the music to a group of people. The slides feature sheet music for a variety of genres, including folk and classical songs, school cheers, holiday music, and popular songs of the time.
