Biographical Note

Effie Kribs (1891-1974) was born in Moberly, Missouri, where she graduated high school in 1910. After graduation, she attended Kirksville State Normal School (now Truman State University). While attending KSNS, Kribs taught at the public schools, and by 1926 had completed her Bachelors of Science in Education. After her time at KSNS, Kribs moved to Jefferson City, Missouri, where she taught both public and church school until her retirement in 1956. She also served as church clerk for forty-four years at the Jefferson City Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Kribs was an active member in her church community in Jefferson City. Kribs is buried at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly, Missouri.
