Agnes Boyd Slemons joined the Northeast Missouri State Teacher's College (now Truman State University) faculty in 1931 and retired as Assistant Professor of Journalism in 1965. Dr. Nan Eliza Boyd joined the faculty in 1929 and retired as Professor of Modern Languages in 1956.
