Received Susan's letter of the 1st yesterday; glad to hear of her health and is better himself; likes this city very much, but it is a hard place for business; property costs much; plans to go to Leavenworth and Weston next; will come home soon or send for everyone; tell Chandler this is a good place for teaming; land costs from $60 to $100 per acre; wants Sue to settle up her business through John Kellogg's help.
