Made it to Camp Randall safe and sound with the secessionists; health of the regiment is good; rebels are suffering and dying from dysentery, about 6 to 12 a day; takes care of the quarter master's horse; wishes to be back at Camp Utley; gives his love to Uncle, Aunt, and Monroe; will send money soon.
