Series III: Company H. Roster, 1861-1863.

 Series

Scope and Contents

The information on the rolls for each man in the Company from the time of its formation in 1861 December through 1863 December 31 is summarized. If the exact date of an event is not given, the date of the bi-monthly roll on which that event was reported is shown in parentheses.

This unit did not disband December 1863. It likely continued through the end of the war but we have no documents beyond this date. According to his Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) application, Captain Davis received a disability discharge in 1864 March, so the Company was still in operation at that time.
