Letter to John R. Kirk from Gertrud Vogle Holloway and P.O. Selby, 1924 February 14.
Scope and Contents
Letter begins "We have gone over our typewriters since the fire and we believe that a number of our older machines could be profitably replaced at this time. These machine besides being somewhat worn by years of use and being somewhat out of date in that they are not of the latest model, are causing us considerable trouble because of the abuse they received in being rescued from the burning building by naturally and excusably careless hands. We lost all the tools for caring for these machine and these can be replaced without cost if we secure new machines...."
