Biographical Note

Gerald V. O’Brien is an emeritus professor at Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. In the course of his research on eugenics and persons with disabilities, he amassed these binders of articles. He is the author of "Framing the Moron: the Social Construction of Feeble-mindedness in the American Eugenic Era" and "Eugenics, Genetics, and Disability in Historical and Contemporary Perspective: Implications for the Social Work Profession."
