Historical Note
Mrs. Irene Fitch, widow of shoe store owner John T. Fitch, sold her home to Burr Jackson Trowbridge in 1893 and he built this new house on the lot that summer. Burr served a couple of terms on the Kirksville City Council before he and his wife, Angeline Minard, returned to Macon, their former home, around 1907.
