Historical Note

William Thomas Baird, President of First International Bank (formerly First National Bank), and his wife Martha Hannah, built this home two blocks south of the bank in 1893. William was associated with the bank, familiarly known as "Baird's Bank" in one capacity or another, janitor to owner/president, for over 40 years. He retired in 1906.
