Scope and Contents
Photographs, architectural plans and drawings, wallpaper samples, correspondence, newspaper clippings, invoices, checks, and paint and varnish samples detailing the restoration of the Captain Harris House, also known as the Parrish House and Parrish Place, a historical residential building in Kirksville, Missouri. The contents were gathered from the Italianate house at 101 Burton Street in Kirksville, Missouri, during renovations and from records kept by Mary Childers Slone, the owner of the house at the time of the 1970s rennovation.and more from when the house was renovated in the 1970s. The collection also contains materials pertaining to Parrish family history.
